- You claim that you cover the entire stack of a tech company. Fullstack developers?
Not exactly. We claim that we have competencies in our network of employees and partners, that will contribute greatly on various levels of most tech companies. Some individuals are senior cloud, app or embedded engineers, others leaders on the CTO level, or specialized in agile ways of working.
The combined skillset at our disposal covers the entire vertical of modern tech companies. - So fullstack consultancy you say. Is there anything that you do not do?
Certainly. We don't traditionally involve ourselves in politics, nor political organizations.
We don't act in the betting nor micro-loan industries.
We like the idea of open source, not only as an excellent collaboration framework, but because of how much we have benefitted from it, both as a company and as individuals.
Therefore we have not yet ventured into the traditional corporate IT tech stack, however we have partners who do. - What is the single most important tech company success factor?
People.
Nothing gets built without people.
Getting the right people to do the job (and do it right), and make them want to stay is the single most important factor of any knowledge company.
Additionally there are hidden costs related to people in terms of employee turnover, interruptions, inefficiency, miscommunication and lack of motivation. We have tools to combat those costs. - Do you specialize in any particular tech stack?
We are not rigid about tech stacks because our clients operate in vastly different environments ranging from legacy on-prem solutions running linux servers to fully serverless solutions in the cloud
Having said that there are some favorites among the techies like: rust, golang, react and react native to name a few. On the embedded side there is a great deal of enthusiasm for the Zephyr realtime OS.
Some even spend most of their time in vim or emacs, while others improve the world, line by line, using VS Code. - What sets Techstra apart from other consultancy companies?
All consultancy companies have essentially the same business model, although many go to great lengths to claim otherwise.
What we think actually sets us apart from our colleagues in the industry is the fact that we span multiple tech areas, leadership, management and even HR. That means that we have the ability to become a one-stop shop for assignments like a complete interim solution while you are dealing with large-scale reorganizations, perhaps in parallel to looking for your next C-level team.
Other times it might simply be that we have a great web of contacts within, and around the tech industry and we are happy to connect you with our friends in the network.
